Is Autodesk For Mac?
By Damien Jovica, Redstack
The wait is finally over for all you Mac and Revit users thanks to Frame. No more Bootcamp, Parallels or switching between a PC and Mac, well, yes, but no. Autodesk don’t have a Revit for Mac version but there is an application called Frame that it can run through and Autodesk have certified it for Revit and AutoCAD.
To carry around 2 computers is ridiculous, but after 10 years of waiting for Autodesk to make a version compatible with Mac, they still have not done it. I just don't get it. I am not alone in this, all of my programs and devices all sink and work perfectly on my Mac except Revit. Autodesk provides many native Mac products for 3D modelling, CAD, rendering, animation, VFX and digital imagery. In addition, we provide full support for a number of products when used on the Mac in virtualised environments including Parallels Desktop and VMware Fusion. Unfortunately not, even though ADSK has finally released AutoCAD for Mac and Fusion 360 is available for Mac you will need to use either Boot Camp or Parallels and a copy of Windows to use Inventor. Since Boot Camp is free from Apple, it's a cheaper way to go other than having to reboot between Mac and Windows. Install options for Autodesk Inventor on a Mac Can Inventor be installed on a Mac? While Inventor does not currently have a native Macintosh version, there are still a few options that will allow you to use Inventor when working with a Macintosh system: Bootcamp: This allows you to boot your system into a Windows operating system, and take full.
