Create Bootable Usb From Dmg Mac Snow Leopard
To create a bootable USB drive from a DMG file on Windows, you will need to have the right utility. That's because DMG is not native on Windows. It is the Mac equivalent of an ISO file that has been in use since Apple transitioned from the IMG format with Mac OS X.

Not tried this so it may/may not work. If you go into System Prefs (on your new iMac) and enable DVD or CD sharing in the 'Sharing' folder, you may, in the sidebar of your old MacBook be able to see the iMac's CD drive. Putting the install DVD in the iMac then allows you to install onto the MacBook if it all works OK, but as I say not sure of compatibility or features available in Leopard etc and have also just thought you may be installing onto a newly formatted drive in the macBook so won't see anything but could be worth trying. Hope that helps.

Snow Leopard has been out of support since 2014 but still it is available for purchase on Appleās App store. How would one go about creating a 10.6.8 bootable USB drive?
My job has 20-25 Macbook Pros ranging from 2009-2011 models. The orignal disks are not available for many of these machines. I have a retail 10.6.3 Snow Leopard disk, but this does not work on the newer model Macbook Pros if they need to be reimaged.
I would like to image one of the newer Macbook Pros, install all the updates and then create an image that I can use to boot from.
